Wintery Weather
So here it was we were being sent to California for our next delivery from Chicago. Oh so happy with this one for two reasons, one the miles and two the weather. We have been so spoiled traveling and dodging the wintery windy weather and finding ourselves in mild calm temps. We were excited once again to be heading into the sunshine of New Mexico, Arizona, and California! Ya, well that was not the case this trip.
Here are some of the views we saw on this trip. Just thought I‘d share for those that have been in the winter weather and thought those three southern states were all about warmth and sunshine. Snow in New Mexico and Arizona and the biggest surprise was the hail in California. LA at 51 degrees and hail! Crazy! However, the beauty we awoke to the next morning was breathtaking and the photo does not do what we were blessed to see with our eyes justice!!
Now, our delivery was another adventure all by itself. We were only a few blocks from the skyscrapers of downtown LA. We knew what a traffic nightmare that would be with our 7am delivery appointment, we drove in the night before and prayed there would be a spot to park near the receiver. Wow! Are we ever happy we chose that option! The GPS had the hardest time ever getting us to the spot. It had me circling around small city and neighborhood streets not able to get me to the destination all due to one street being closed. I could not imagine having to navigate those streets with morning traffic! Anyhow, we were able to tuck into a spot and sleep for the night.
The other photos are what we saw in the daylight on the way out, which was a more direct easy route to follow! How I would have loved to stop and explore the Sears. They said they were open through the construction. Oh, and if you are in need of an apartment building for your next movie, just call the number on the sign on the fence! How I love to see all the sights of a big city!
