National Corvette Museum
Another mini adventure!
The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. A pretty cool little museum that showcases the Chevrolet Corvette. This is also the museum that had the sinkhole that swallowed 8 rare and one-of-a-kind Corvettes in 2014.
Thanks to them for having big truck parking!!
The display on the sink hole was very well done, interesting, and sad all at the same time. It is named the Corvette Cave in the Skydome Sinkhole Experience. It tells the story of what happened that day, why it happened, what cars were affected, how they were recovered, how the building was fixed, and the actual cars on display in the Skydome. They have actual footage from the security cameras and of the rebuilding, along with the story of each car that fell.
Along with the history of the Corvette and many cars on display, they also feature a rotating display of which was a tribute to Indy cars while we were there.
This was a great stop for the Corvette enthusiast!
