Hometime

Ahhhh, Hometime!!

We earn one day off for every 6 days of driving. We can not accumulate more than 7 days at a time. You can think of it as we work our week but don’t take our weekend day at the end of each week. We work straight through for a few weeks and then get our weekend days as a group.
So we took our days in Colorado to see friends and family and to help the hunting party pack and load, and to see our boy! Trey Howell you are a Godsend! Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for you! Mason is blessed to have someone like you as a role model! Thanks for taking care of him!

Wow was it nice to be back in Colorado! We have been all over the southern half of the country, and though there are pretty sights everywhere, nothing compares to Colorado. The colors are amazing! No wonder it is referred to as Colorful Colorado. Truly, from the different earth tones, browns to deep reds, shades of pine ~ Blue Spruce, light to dark greens, then many colors of the fall trees ~ greens to blazing golds, with some reds and oranges sprinkled throughout. Add in the brilliant blue skies with the breath taking snow-capped mountains and there you have it…Colorful Colorado! Let’s not forget the beautiful sunshine and dry crisp air! Ahhhh….oh so good!
We so enjoyed visiting with all those that were able to stop by and hope to see all those that couldn’t next time!

Thanks Mike and Jen for always being there! It was 5 star all the way!
Thank you Bill and Jean for the hospitality as always! Mojo loved it too! So blessed we are able to call you family!

Thank you Don and Debbie for having us over and loaning us a vehicle! Y’all are a blessing we are very thankful for!

We really enjoyed our time in the Springs! It was such a great time with great conversation! Thanks y’all for making us feel very loved! We miss you all! Thanks for sharing and being a part of our adventures!

Finally, prayer to the hunting party! This is the first time in 21 years that Grant has not gone. However it was awesome to be there for the loading and to spend time with the crew – which is all family!! Opening morning is just hours away! May they have a safe and successful season!

For us though it is back to the wide open road.
