Big Trucks Cooking
Whistle here, when choosing trucking as a new career Hooper and I were concerned with our health and healthy eating. We researched alternatives to fast food and truck stop diners. We found a fantastic face book page called Big Trucks Cooking. This is a page all about cooking in the truck. Exactly what we were looking for! We purchased an Aroma rice cooker, (this thing is awesome!) We were very excited to be able to cook nearly anything we want…even a cake, LoL.
So now we have named our truck the Bug Splat Bistro and have been cooking dinner in it for the last week. We have made stew, saute’d chicken breasts and made chicken alfredo, and today made a fantastic batch of spaghetti! We haven’t yet figured out how to cook for just two of us, so we have been feeding other hungry truckers. One thing about cooking in the truck is the smells. Smells so good it is hard to keep driving till it is done because you get so hungry. Lol.
